A wonderful Sunday to you all!! ☀️
Today’s Substack article is a weeeeird one.
You’ll think I have completely lost the plot.
But hey, I promised myself when I started writing on Substack that I’d show you the real ME.
The Alicia who is ridiculously ambitious, who knows a thing or two about LinkedIn, who is also awkward, and a tad delusional at times.
Not everything I write might resonate with you (especially today’s article).
And that’s fine!!
But what I’m gonna write about today is something I do believe in and has given a tremendous amount of comfort, self-belief, and hope (!!) whenever I’m chasing something that scares the living daylights out of me.
If you’re open-minded, it might deliver the same feelings to you too.
And if this is absolutely not your cup of tea, maybe it’ll bring you at least some Sunday amusement.
We’ll see!! 🤓✨
Dear Accountant, please don't read this!!
Last week, I was holding a workshop at Amazon and literally just needed a place to sleep.
So I booked one of the fanciest hotels in London and happily slapped it onto my credit card.
WTF?!
What is WRONG with me??
$2k is a HUGE amount of money for a clean room and a bed!!
Well…
Lemme explain…
✨ MONEY MANIFESTATION ✨
Ohhhh dear!!
I’m bringing the Woo-Woo to Substack.
I can already sense half of you rolling your eyes….
Do I truly believe the universe sees my credit card transaction and immediately transfers $100k into my Stripe account?
Obviously not!! 💀
But I DO BELIEVE something changes inside my little brain when I start behaving like the future version of myself instead of waiting for permission to become her.
So whenever I'm chasing a financial goal that f*cking scares me, I make an utterly ridiculous purchase.
💸 When I left LinkedIn, I put a $2k Apple iMac on my credit card.
🤑 Two months later, I had my first $20k month.
💸 When I launched my paid Substack, I bought a $3k Burberry coat.
🤑 One month later, I crossed $30k in gross annual revenue.
💸 Last week, I spent $2k on a stay at the W Hotel.
🤑 Later this month, I hit $100,000 with my launch.
(at least that’s what I’m manifesting)
Every single time, my logical brain (and my accountant) scream:
"GIRLLLL WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING???"
But it also says:
(my brain. certainly not my accountant)
"This is the life you're working towards. STOP WAITING until you've 'earned' it.
Allow yourself to experience it. NOOOW!!!"
Call it Woo-Woo manifestation.
Call it weird psychology.
Call it (very) expensive self-blackmail, bc having that much money sitting on your credit card creates a VERY compelling incentive to get your a*se into gear…
Whatever it is...
It gets me MOVING!!!
I behave differently. I show up differently. I pitch bigger. I sell more confidently. I stop second-guessing myself. I become the person who belongs in those rooms.
And that's the whole point!!!
That’s what creates the results!
Delulu until Trululu
As you might have already seen, I am currently heads down promoting my very first LinkedIn cohort.
And I made a very public announcement that I’m gonna make $100k+ with this. 😵💫
It’s the first time I’ve ever launched a cohort.
I have NO IDEA if a $100k+ launch is doable, or if I’ve completely lost the plot!!
But by saying it out loud like that, I’m telling the universe I’m READY!!
I’m telling it that this is possible for me and I bully myself into believing it for me too.
Plus, the public pressure certainly helps me do whatever it takes to get me there. 👀
As of today, 15 days after I made this announcement…
I have made over $67k+ already!! 😳
Things I do instead of being normal
There are 8 more days to go and $32,588 left to manifest.
So these are the Woo Woo things I’m currently doing:
1️⃣ Evidence List
Every evening, I take my little shiny notepad and write down a list of all the things that give me evidence that this $100k launch is indeed happening.
No matter how big or small these things are.
Ranging from “I had one more sign up today” to “I finally start to genuinely believe this is actually possible for me to achieve”.
2️⃣ Subliminals
It’s ridiculously hot here in the UK at the moment.
My boyfriend Alex insists on sleeping with the loudest air conditioning unit known to mankind.
Meanwhile, Alicia’s little autistic ears are like:
“Absolutely the fck not!!!”
So every night I put my headphones in to drown it out.
But not with just any white noise...
✨ Subliminals ✨
They’re relaxing sounds with hidden affirmations layered underneath that (apparently... who actually knows) your subconscious mind picks up even though you can’t hear them.
Do I have any scientific proof this works?
Nope.
Will I continue listening to them anyway?
You bet your little booty I will!
3️⃣ Visualisation
I took a screenshot of my Stripe dashboard, tinkered in Canva with it, and made it look as if I’ve already generated $100k with my cohort and saved this image as my phone screen.
Every time I open my phone, I’ll see it.
Visualising as if the money is already there.
Fake it until you make it. 😎
4️⃣ Pop-up Notifications
Twice a day, my phone does a little piiiing and shows me a notification telling me I hit my goal.
5️⃣ Meditation
I HAAAATE meditation.
I struggle so, so, soooo much doing it!!
But I force myself to at least once a day sit down for 5 minutes and really think about the event of when I have hit that milestone.
Where am I when it happens?
Who is with me?
What do I see?
How do I feel?
What do I say?
Anything that makes this event feel as real as possible, trying to imagine all 5 senses.
Before you call my mum…
There are loads of other manifestation rituals out there.
Some people wear crystals (I currently have a little citrine necklace around my neck).
Some buy a token item that represents the future they’re working towards (hello, $2k stay at the W Hotel).
Others swear by Reiki to release energetic blockages. (Never tried it. I did, however, treat myself to a very lovely massage the other day. Close enough.)
Anyway...
By now I’ve probably lost every ounce of credibility I’ve spent the last few months building on Substack.
I know this is all very weird.
Like... really weird.
But these silly little rituals give me hope and make me believe that maybe... just maaaaybe...
I can actually pull this off!!
And most importantly...
They’re FUN!! 😀😀😀
I cringe.
I giggle.
And somehow, they make this whole challenge feel a little less scary.
Right now, that’s more than enough for me.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday, my Substack friends. 🧡
Go and rest. Hug your loved ones. Dance around a tree if that’s your vibe.
(Or don’t. We’ve already established I’m the weird one here.)
I’ll see you next Sunday with what will be the final update on my $100k challenge.
EEEEEEK!!! 😵💫
Now, if you’ll excuse me...
I’ve got another $32,588 to manifest.
Wish me luck.
Alicia

will steal your ideas: building in public and a phone wallpaper.
💪 wish you luck!
I feel you on the investing and telling your brain you got this Alicia! Just done that this month and as scary as it is, I’m ready for the magic to happen! Rooting for you, let’s go! 😊🙌🏼
